VibeText ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our iOS app collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our voice messaging service integrated with Apple's Messages app.
Key Privacy Principle: VibeText processes your voice recordings locally on your device. We never store, transmit, or have access to your actual voice recordings. Only transcribed text is processed through our AI service to provide tone adjustments.

2.1 Voice Recordings
- What: VibeText accesses your device's microphone to record voice messages
- How: Voice recordings are processed entirely on your device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework
- Storage: Voice recordings are NOT stored, transmitted, or retained by VibeText
- Purpose: Voice recordings are converted to text locally and then immediately discarded
2.2 Transcribed Text
- What: Text transcriptions of your voice recordings
- Processing: Transcribed text is sent to OpenAI's API for tone adjustment and enhancement
- Retention: Text is processed ephemerally and not stored by VibeText
- Identity: Text processing is not linked to your personal identity or device
2.3 Technical Information
- App usage analytics (crashes, performance metrics)
- Device compatibility information for support purposes
- No personal identifiers or location data
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Primary Functionality
- Voice-to-Text Conversion: Converting your voice recordings to text using on-device processing
- AI Enhancement: Sending transcribed text to OpenAI for tone adjustment and message refinement
- Message Delivery: Facilitating the sending of your enhanced messages through Apple Messages

4.1 OpenAI API
Service: OpenAI's GPT API for text processing and tone adjustment
Data Shared: Only transcribed text (never voice recordings)

6. Permissions
6.1 Microphone Access
Purpose: Required for voice recording functionality
Control: You can revoke microphone access in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone > VibeText
Impact: Revoking microphone access will disable voice recording features
6.2 Messages Integration
Purpose: Required for iMessage extension functionality
Access: Integration allows message composition and sending
Control: Managed through iOS Messages app settings
7. Your Rights
7.1 Data Control
- No Data Collection: Since we don't store personal data, there's no data to access, modify, or delete
- Processing Transparency: All processing is disclosed in this policy
- Opt-Out: Simply delete the app to stop all data processing
7.2 Communication Preferences
- No marketing communications from VibeText
- Support communications only upon user request
- Updates delivered through App Store notifications
8. Children's Privacy
